SANITARY DUMP VALVES ON 1996 U270

While dumping the greywater today, the spouse pulled the dump handle out of the valve body so a replacement valve is needed.  It has been a long time since I last replaced the valve body and I do not remember exactly what valve I need to order.
Are the dump valves Valterra or are they a Thetford product on this era of Foretravels?
I searched the archives but not much there on the subject that I could find.
Also, has anyone inserted zirc fittings on these replacement valves to facilitate greasing of the valve periodically?
As always, any and all input appreciated.
Regards,
In case you were wondering, the grey tank is full.  I may try to insert a lag screw or something into the valve slider and see if I can dump the tank.  I could use a workable idea here too.

Hi John,

I am sorry to learn of your dilemma. The best valves are made by Valterra, and you can Google them and find what product you need in their catalog.  Or a search of the archives here will show you what to use.  I think if you can actually get to the valve that you will find a way to retract that blade valve.

Hi Jon,
Both gray, and black, valves on my 1997 were Valterra 3 inch pieces. They were fairly easy to replace.

Jon,
The top plastic of valve can be cut down any way you can to get a hold of the rod to pull out if there is still a rod inside the valve.

I don't think the spouse pulled the handle out of the body. It sounds like the valve broke and the handle let go.

On our coach we have removed the top half of the holding tank fiberglass cover (and thrown it away) so we can see the valves and check for leaks.

I think it is an ok idea to put in a zerk and some grease, but wonder if grease could affect rubber seal.
