Air dryer, coolant loss.

Hi I have a 86 GrandVilla with a 3208. The dryer was leaking so i replaced it and added a overflow bottle.
The dryer keeps cycling and i seem to be loosing about a gallon of coolant a month. There is no water in the oil.
I think the coolant is leaking into the compressor. I've order the bendex 501 true flo replacement compressor.
Any ideas or thoughts welcome. Thanks New Guys on the block. :o ^.^d

Are you saying that you are getting so much water out of the AIR DRYER that you can catch it ion a bottle ?  If so something is way wrong, all that should come out of the dryer is a fine mist.  Is dryer cycling constantly ?  Sounds like a water leak from somewhere into the air system, not good. Is there oil residue in the radiator overflow bottle ? If so this could be a symptom of a bad head gasket. Hard to figure out without seeing it in person.
Good luck

If you need to replace the  compressor due to it letting oil into the air system, you need to replace the dryer again after installing the new compressor as the dryer will be loaded with oil.
Also if the compressor is leaking antifreeze internal, for sure a new compressor is needed assuming it is a water cooled compressor.
All the above is not a major issue, nor difficult to do.
