Old filter numbers

Got a couple of problems. The Detroit Diesel manual says my oil filter(s) part number is 2DD42. I also have a receipt from the previous owner's service that states that PF34 oil filters were installed at an oil change. I can't find either number anywhere in order to cross over to a Fram or whatever. Everyone wants to know what vehicle the engine is in, what year, model, etc.

The manual also calls for primary fuel filter T-936 and secondary filter TP-928

Anybody been able to cross over these numbers? To what brand and part numbers?
The engine is the Detroit Diesel 8.2 turbocharged V8 "Fuelsipper" with a four speed Allison transmission in a 1989 Grand Villa with the Oshkosh truck chassis, otherwise known as an ORED.

Some of the filter/belt numbers are old or incorrect. Am trying to get a couple of engines updated. I sent in the latest filter info for the 93' 6V-92TA. Probably the same for all the 2 cycle years but please let me know if your engine takes a different filter.

Your 8.2 should have the numbers printed on the filter that is presently mounted. May need a mirror to read the numbers if on the back side. Several good sites to xref online that would include Baldwin, Wix, NAPA, Fleetguard, Racor. Most NAPA are Wix (excellent) Baldwin also excellent. Might pass on the most advertised brand.

Thanks Pierce.  I will look as soon as it dries out under the coach. We have had rain on & off for the last three days so there are puddles under the coach. I changed oil and filters last year after we got the coach and I don't remember any numbers/data on the filters/plastic. The previous owner had written on the plastic that they were oil filters so when I removed the old ones I did a comparison and all physical dims matched up. I thing it did say WIX somewhere but I had never heard of WIX so I didn't look further.
By the way, my engine is a four-cycle, not a two cycle, so don't know if filters would be the same. Hopefully someone with a four-cycle will chime in if they have found anything.

Pat, I went to the site you provided and scrolled down, then found my engine and the same numbers I have. So, I guess my next step is NAPA as they are about a mile away and very, very good at what they do.

Right, aware of the 8.2 vs. 9.0 liter differences. When you do come up will all the numbers for the 8.2, please post. Water filter is/may be up and behind house batteries, external transmission filter also/may be on driver's side.

Got a few more numbers for the oil filters:  Bosch #3510,  Fram PH5,  and Fram High Performance HP4

Alternator belt: Dayco Top Cog Gold Label #17660/13A1675
Power Steering belt: Dayco Top Cog (not Gold Label) #17435/13A1105

From my experience with the Dayco Top Cog belts has never been good, when we changed over to Gates belts, things got a lot more dependable.
Too many cases to list, but every time we had a flipped belt, broken belt, they were Dayco, when replaced them with the Gates, end of problem.  Not my opinion alone, most others in the mechanical world agree.

Dave, THANKS!!

I only had those numbers because of having the cardboard belt sleeves left by the previous owner. I was planning on buying spares but now I think I will buy replacements and spares--all GATES of course!!
I will post the Gates part numbers when I get the new belts.
