Conversions

After owning the coach for a year and a half, it's time to do the TV and headlight/taillight conversions. Was thinking of using Extreme for the lights, and MOT or FOT for the TV.  Any imput would be appreciated.

For the headlights, check out both Xtreme and FOT.  We looked at both and ended up going with FOT as their finish around the headlights was much nicer.  The FOT lights just looked finished where as Xtreme's were just holes with the lights sitting in them.  The price is about the same.

TV - Can't really comment there as we did our own conversion.

For interior work, the only place we go if we can't do it ourselves is FOT.  David Flanagan's team does a fantastic job that looks factory-original.  We would also now add Ernie to the consideraton if we were wanting new flooring.  We did do our own TV conversions(s).

Like txforetravel, for headlights and tail lights we looked at conversions by both Xtreme and FOT in person.  Xtreme has done wonderful work on our coach - the nonskid roof paint and the step conversion.  I would not hesitate to use them for either.  For lights, though, we preferred the FOT finished product and the coach looks like it was factory-delivered with the new lights.

Have a problem with that re-Xtremes finish as I saw Rance with the mould he used and it did have a return on it so the light did not just sit in "a hole" as you put it. I thought it was a good finish IMHO

I have the Xtreme head light conversion.
Knowing the difference between the FOT and the Xtreme, if I had to have it done again, I would have Xtreme do the lights due to the structural integrity alone.  Having hit a large deer on lower left under the lights, I expected to have damage back to the generator radiator, maybe beyond, but when I stoped and looked, there was NO sign of the deer hit except for the hair, blood and some meat still attached  to the front, no damage to the coach.
Now you know why I vote for Rance and Xtreme.

I am waiting for a plug-in LED headlight... someone, somewhere, is bound to make one; hopefully at a decent price.
