Water fill issues

I tried filling my fresh water tank today and I don't think it's filling?  I turned the valve under the sink to "on". That is the correct position correct?  When I turn it off, the sink pressure increases a little but prob not as much as I would expect. While filling, I turned on the various drains to see how much pressure was there. Pressure on what I believe are the cold and hot water drains are pretty strong. Drain for what I believe is the fresh water tank is a trickle in comparison. Any ideas on what could be going on?

Benjie, on mine the water fill valve is open when the handle is turned toward the door. Also if you turn your water pump on with the fill valve open it will run continuously, try that at least you will know if the valve is opening. If your water tank is completely it takes a while to fill it.

Trying to debug this a little more.  My GV had a overfill where water just spilled out once the tank was full.  I'm assuming this should happen at some point on my U295?  If so, I'll hook it up again and see if maybe I just didn't wait long enough.  I tested the water pump out this evening and there is definitely water in the tank and I was able to get the shower to put out better pressure by cleaning the head.  I swear I left the hose on way longer than I normally had to on the GV, but maybe there's some sediment and if I'm not mistaken this is a larger tank.

If it helps, I recall a system on a 05.  I think that you pushed the valve perpendicular to the coach to fill, then pulled the valve back parallel to the coach to close, and then you could  pump to operate.  However, was an internal valve where the hose connected, built into the place you screw on the hose.  That little valve took more pressure than those of us thought and with the pressure and volume restricted on the connected hose, it was very slow to fill the tank.  If your tank is like that one, it did finally overflow and water ran out right in front of the rear tires on the driver's side.

I takes a while to fill the tank (100 gal), if you look you are running water through a realitively small hose, I have not had occasion to mess with mine but I'm sure there is a check valve at the water fill some where (another restriction), low water pressure/volume from your fill source? In short it takes longer than you think to fill your tank. The over flow on mine is in front of the rear wheel, also you can turn on the tank monitor and watch the level come up as you fill. In years gone by I would not leave the house unless the water tank was full, but the light finally came on in my head, If you are not planning on dry camping why haul another 800+lbs down the road.

As far a low water flow from the pump, there is a screen at the water pump you might take a look at that, never had to clean mine but who knows. If your coach is like mine your pump is in the bay under the HW heater, you can see the clear bowl and screen with a flashlite.

Well, thats part of the problem.  Grey and black tank sensors are working, but I had the hose on the freshwater tank for probably 20 - 30 minutes and the monitor NEVER registered anything.  That got me trying to figure out if it was getting water.  My thought is now maybe the tank sensors are bad and its just a VERY slow fill and drain.  Will debug a little more today.

I can hear the water flowing through the fill valve when I open it. Our tank will overflow in front of the drive wheels on the passenger side.

You may be able to see the water level in the fresh water tank. Part of the tank is exposed in the service bay on the driver's side. A flashlight may help.

Have joy on the tank fill but now seem to have some leaks somewhere in the plumbing as I continue to have some standing water in the utility bay. If its not one thing it's another right?  :( This one might take a little more time to debug

There are several things to check like the accumalator tank also the water pump, sometimes when a coach is winterized some part is not drained and might be broken

We had a persistent small leak from the hot water system. Tightening the fitting would help for a while, then it would leak again. The seals in the fitting to the back of the hot water tank were shot. I ran new PEX and fittings from the water heater to the Manibloc.

Hi Benjie,
  On our 1997 U320 the manibloc is in the last (rear) lower compartment, on the passenger side. The compartment with the door on a piano type hinge. Fresh water from the holding tank goes to the manibloc, and the manibloc distributes fresh water, through various lines, to its final location. It has on/off valves for each line. I hope this helps.
