HWH Reservoir on 1993 U225

I seem to have a small leak of hydraulic fluid under the rear driver-side HWH jack on our 1993 U225. I suspect the jack may have a bad seal but in the meantime I'm wondering whether there is enough fluid in the system to operate the level jacks. Can anyone point me in the general direction of the fluid reservoir? And the type of fluid?

Caig,

Easiest to remove the front passenger's side grill (small phillips head screws).  The reservoir is right there with the breather/dip stick.  Suggest cleaning dirt from around it before removing it.

Use Dexron.

Craig, my experience is that leaks are usually just a loose hose/hydraulic line connection. It may be as simple as just tightening the connection with a 9/16", as I recall, open end wrench. I also found that there is a lot of excess fluid in the tank. You can lose a lot before it affects the performance of the system.

As Brett says, just remove the grill, clean the top of the tank and cap and remove the cap at the very top of the tank. As I recall it just pulls off with some effort. Check with James Trianna at FOT on where the fluid level should be. As I recall, it uses ATF fluid or you can pay triple for HWH's fluid. Again, check with James.

Just a note, there is a large screw on the front that looks like it my be a place to check the fluid, it is not. There is a delicate adjustable valve under that screw cap. Don't mess with it unless you really know what you are doing.

The "leak" is more of a stain on the concrete under the device so it might well be a loose connection. It's certainly not a puddle or anything close to it. But more than a few drops. I'll get over there today or tomorrow and double check.
