Headlights

Had Left headlight burn out. Went to parts store and bought 9007 Replacement bulb.
Had a devil of a time getting the bulb into the socket, so tight that I could not push it in. With red rubber Oring removed it went in fine.  Lubed Oring and was finally able to push it in.  Looks like either new Oring is too large or it shrinks in use. Replaced bulbs with Sylvania 9007's just like the ones removed.
At some point will consider replacing clouded lenses but needed to get it working in the meantime.

No need to replace any clouded headlight lenses. There are many ways to make them clear again with an abrasive made for the purpose. Go to auto store or walmart and find lots of choices that will work.

Bought a lens cleaning kit by Mothers. They didn't come out like brand new but did an excellent job. Also replaced standard halogen bulbs with Sylvania silver star ultra bulbs. Kind of pricey(about $55 for the pair)but the results are(no pun intended)like night and day. Much whiter and brighter than the standard halogen.

I am aware of lens polishing kits, with my back in its present condition I was pushing it just to get the bulbs in.  Later I'll take this on, along with some other fixes that I have been putting off due to physical limitations.
