Toyo Tire Supply

Just replaced my six Goodyear 670s with 295/75 22.5 H Toyo 177s. Used Southern Tire Mart in Albuquerque. Good fresh date codes, he had to hunt around for some. He could not get 154s. Took over a week to get the tires into the store. These were made in Japan. Drive home seemed good, but only a few miles. They hand torqued the lug nuts and the crew wass good to work with. Did the entire process with contact through the website and with emails. All was as advertised.

This is not a post asking what I should or should not have done. Just an update on my experience with finding them and the ABQ tire store. I did not get a trade allowance on my Goodyears, they would only take 2018 date codes as a trade. My Goodyears were not particularly "fresh" when they were installed in July of 2016. This was done as part of purchase and I was several states away when they were installed. Got ripped off with all date codes turned to the inside. Most of the tires were 2015 and one was 2012, unless I read it wrong. It had been on the rear, outside, with date code to the inside.

Experience with Goodyears. Lots of tread depth after 50,000 miles, but the fronts suffered from "rivering" after about four years. Rotated fronts to back. They drove and rode fine. Definition of "rivering" from Home | Fleet Maintenance

Erosion/River Wear
Appearance: Circumferential worn area situated on the sides of the tread ribs.
Probable Cause: Condition most commonly occurs on slow wearing radial tires in steer or trailer position (free rolling).
Corrective Action: None.
Tire Disposition: Continue to run.
