Generator fault Powertech Ultimate 10K

Yesterday we were driving from Pagosa Springs, CO to Santa Fe, NM.  Nice drive by the way (see below).  Anyway, it was getting hot as we neared Santa Fe and the dash air was not working (another story).  We turned on the generator and started the roof AC.  After about 30 minutes I noticed the AC was off and looked down to see the "fault" light on.  The generator had turned itself off.  When we got to Santa Fe and checked the idiot lights on the generator I found that the oil pressure light was lit.  I'm almost sure it was steady meaning a low oil pressure fault.  A blinking light is for a low coolant level.  I checked the oil level and it is full.  Coolant looks fine too.  I restarted the generator and it ran without a problem for 15 minutes.

Any ideas as to what else to check?  I had the generator serviced (oil change, filters, coolant flush and change) before we left Tucson a month ago.  We have run the generator about 3-4 hours previously on this trip with no problems.  Those hours were when the coach was parked.

Thanks in advance.  We're going to need the generator as we head further south and eventually to NAC.  We plan to be there June 30.

Update....  got both problems fixed at Hal Burns Trucking and Equipment in Santa Fe.  See my post of 6/21/12.

I did this dance a couple of years ago ended up being the controller. It can however be a loose wire or bad sender. On mine the sender goes to ground if you loose O/P, so a quick check is to just take the wire off the sender if it continues to run with no problem then the sender is bad. however mine is a 99 model yours may work diffrent. You can call the folks at Power Tech in Leesburg, Fl @352-365-2777 the manual and trouble shooting guide is available on their web site for free as well.
