Re: Switch Identification Reply #1 – July 28, 2012, 10:38:57 am Mike,Looks like aftermarket.Driver selectable.................................... Stability Control (Steering Angle Sensor)?I've seen similar in German cars (Beemers, Audis, VW's, Merc's) but what it might be doing in a FT is beyond me. Do you have any other clues? Some American cars use the technology, but I've never seen it to be driver selectable.Just a WILD guess.Neal Quote Selected

Re: Switch Identification Reply #4 – July 28, 2012, 12:04:00 pm Why not follow the wires from the switch and see where they lead to ? Should tie into something somewhere, also turn off all items in the coach, then play with the switch to see it you notice or hear anything happening, I love tracking down junk stuffDave M Quote Selected
Re: Switch Identification Reply #5 – July 28, 2012, 02:42:29 pm We installed a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer in our 37' SOB DP. It had a centering system controlled by a momentary contact switch at the driver's position. The switch in our coach looked like a big ol' toggle switch. However, a nifty looking switch like that would have been more "descriptive." I like Dave's M's suggestion of following wires or listening for sounds associated with the switch. I recommend looking to see if you have some kind of steering accessory under the coach. Quote Selected
Re: Switch Identification Reply #6 – July 28, 2012, 04:47:25 pm Yes, I will check underneath to see if there is something there. I was just hoping that someone would recognize the switch and know what it is. Quote Selected
Re: Switch Identification Reply #7 – July 28, 2012, 05:13:34 pm Can you contact the previous owner and see what he had added? Otherwise as others suggested trace out the wiring to see where it goes. Quote Selected
