I contacted Power Tank who is a major supplier of CO2 tire inflation systems (POWERTANK - CO2 Air Systems) and this is the response I got tonight."Hi George- Yes, this questions has come up before. Carbonic acid is a mild alkalyd and nothing to worry about. Dog pee is more corrosive than this. In the 15 year history of Power Tank we have had no reported incidents of tire or wheel failure by a Power Tank user.
