Wash And Wax All

Does any one have any experience using Wash And Wax All and will it remove black streaks? I currently use a carnuba wax every six months which is very labor intensive. THANKS!!!!

Yes. I have used Wash & Wax All. It works and is considerably less work than a regular paste or even a liquid wax. Nice finish on my clear coat paint. Does it last as long, depends on the exposure, probably 6 months or so. I can't tell any difference from the regular wash and coating of Protect-All that I used before. In fact wonder how mush polish a clear-coat really needs?
Have no idea as to whether it will clean off black streaks.
Is it worth it? It's sold by Sporty's Tools, need I say more? S & H a big item.

Bob,

I can't tell you if Wash Wax All will remove dark streaks.  But I can report that WWA is a good product and very easy to use.

If you are going to buy it by mail, contact Rudy Legget, who is a Foretravel owner and a member of Foreforums.  Rudy is a WWA dealer and one heckuva good guy.

Whatever you use, once you get rid of black streaks you will need to keep your roof washed occassionally to prevent further black streaks.

I just bought a gallon of it to fill the spray bottles.  I usually wash the coach when I get to a campground with two buckets and then spray on the wash and wax and wipe it off.

I don't know if it would have detrimental effects on today's paint jobs, but didn't people use to use Westley's Bleche-White tire cleaner to remove really stubborn black streaks on the sides of their rv?? Anyone know about this??

Westley's Bleche-White tire cleaner - My neighbor used it to do just that.  But he did not have fiberglass roof.

Another convert for Wash Wax All.

I bought a gallon awhile back but just got around to using it for the 1st time yesterday.  Real easy to use - just remember to change rags when the dirt builds up.  What I really liked was that it dried with no spots or swirls.  That is a huge plus on a dark colored coach.  I used about a pint doing half the coach in the shade and the other half in the sun.  There was no discernible difference in the end result.  I also like the "no water" option for campgrounds with washing restrictions.  I'm sure though that would use much more than a pint.

Anyhow, great product.

I have used blue "Wash, Wax All" for two years.  Great product.  I rarely wash the coach and when I do it is usually just the lower half where the road grime accumulates, especially in the rain.  But for routine cleaning, "Wash, Wax All" is hard to beat.  Be aware, there are similar products on the market, the this one is the best I have used.  I bought the large "mop" like brush the company sells... have never used it.  Only use the yellow poly rags that are widely available.

If it has not been said, there are two wash wax alls.  Get the red version for the black streaks.  Mike

Mike,

Normally one would use the blue tinted version to wash and wax the coach, car, plane, boat, etc.

The red tinted version of Wash Wax All has more soap in it than the blue version, hence why it is better for gelcoat black streaks and is the preferred version to clean the tires and wheels.  It is also called Wash Wax All Degreaser.

Brian Philips, the owner and inventor of the Wash Wax All product line, recently returned from a trip to Andrews Air Force Base where he trained an additional 35 mechanics in how to clean and wax Air Force One and the many other planes at Andrews for government use.  As you may know, Boeing Aircraft Company has certified Wash Wax All as safe for aircraft use.

Okay, I guess I am going to have to give this stuff a try. We have an entire tote dedicated to cleaning supplies. It would be nice to get it down to one or two products.

D&D,

The Wash Wax All Mop Kit with Bug Buster will wash and wax all surfaces on the exterior and interior of the coach except cloth surfaces.  The kit contains the mops that allow you to stand on the ground and remove the bugs and clean the coach without the use of a ladder, hose, bucket, making a mess on the ground and NO WATER Spots.

Wash Wax All strictly cleans and Waxes, no polish.  So once the coach is shiny because one buffed and sealed the gelcoat as did Barry and Cindy, applied Polyglow as did Don Hay or get a full paint from Xtreme, it needs to be cleaned.  Wash Wax All is an easy safe (no Ladder) way to clean, wax and UV protect the coach to keep it shiny.

To learn more on using Wash Wax All, see the "How To" suggestions on the website or call Brian Philips on his 800 number.  He loves to talk to RVers and is a wealth of info on cleaning vehicles.

Thanks Rudy. The interior is Dee's territory and I am sure that I won't be able to convert her from her Swiffer that she swears by. ::)

The gelcoat on my coach has a good shine but I have used Nu-Finish polish on my prior coach's with good success. It is strickly a polish, not wax. So I would guess that a coat of that and then Wash Wax All would be the way to go.
I like the no water option as a lot of the parks we visit do not allow washing of the rigs.

D&D,

We're planning to WWA our coach today.  If you'd like to see what's it's like to use, come on up I95 and grab a blue cloth :))  We'll provide homebrew and steamers....

Mmmm, now that is tempting, except that homebrew and steamers tend to make us lazy and sleepy :sleepy: ......so may have to opt for blue lawn chairs instead of blue cloth.
