Dash board tire pressure w/ alarm warning

I am about to purchase a tire pressure warning system. the system works like this.
a) sensors act as caps to valve stems and contain batteries.
b) sensors send a message to receiver placed in view of driver
c) driver is warned of temperature or pressure readings that are above or below set standard.
d) When parked for long durations (Months) driver removes sensors to save battery life.
e) tow car can also be out fitted
Below is a reply to recent E mail (from Tire Tracker Pro)  info@tiretraker.com

Mr. Schwab,

A 6-Sensor system is $289.00.  The system includes 6 sensors, monitor, power cord, mounting bracket, hook & loop tape, batteries and sensor locks.  You wouldn't want to buy the items separately as they would cost more.  With the type of driving you will be doing, you should get many years of service out of a system.  We do recommend that you remove the sensors when not travelling for long periods as it will lengthen the battery life.  Also, the sensors act as your valve caps – simply remove them to add or delete air, and then put them back on.  No programming is necessary.

My question to the forum is, "Any comment" ???? on this purchase.

I have the Pressure Pro system on my coach and toad.  So far it has performed well.  The coach is fitted with a rear echo repeater that picks up the toad's signals.  You may not need this depending on whether the receiver can pick them up.  On my unit it picks up the toads tire readings even when my wife is driving it behind me.  All my info is fed into my Silverleaf system and is displayed on the screen along with the rest of the readings.  This makes it very convenient as it can show all 10 of the tire pressures at once.

As you live close to me I can show the system to you if you want to see it in action.

I recommend you search Foreforums for "Pressure Pro," "TPMS," "TireTracker," "TST," and similar key words. There have been extensive discussions of tire pressure monitor systems. Some folk would not be without them. Others won't use the currently available systems. Opinions for each choice appear to have been based on experience.
