Rubber material above slides

Need to replace that rubber material that covers the top of the slides. ( keeps rain and dirt out of the crack I guess)
FOT said they get it from HWH. They are next to impossible to talk to a tech. Receptionist just tells me to leave a message, and someone will return my call.
My question is, what is that product called and where else could someone buy it?
 Thanks, Richard B

We had ours replaced in 2007 at FT.  At the time, it was called a "S/O Squeegee" or "room sweep" and was 32 cents per linear foot, less MC discount.  FT's P/N at the time was P82864.

Does FOT not have any in stock?

When we had a problem with the HWH leveling system, we did leave messages at HWH. We did receive calls from a helpful person who helped us take care of the problem.

We got ours at the factory recently also. Easy to replace. I bought some rubber gasket material to replace some that are deteriorated on the bay doors also.

Thanks for the replies. The person I talked to didn't mention if they had it in stock, just that HWH was their supplier. I'll call FOT  Monday to place my order. Been waiting a week for HWH to return my call. I'm sure if it was really important, they would of gotten back to me.

I found it at MOT, no problem.  Note this was my concern.  With it deteriorated, I feared water would come in on the top of the slide when bringing in the slide if there was rain on the coach with the slide out.

While MOT did replace the deteriorated squeegee, they told me that I was to tilt the coach before bringing in the slide to drain the water off, that the squeegee was not the only thing to do or rely upon.  I then remembered prior instructions I had read to do such.

I did one other thing on a recent trip though after being parked quite a while.  With a ladder I used a squeegee on a pole, similar to what you use on a windshield, and raked water off of the top of the slide before bringing it in.  I am sure that is overkill, but in doing this I found the water I raked off was pretty dirty, having collected dust from the nearby dirt road traffic.  Mike

I don't think the squeegee was overkill. Even tipping the coach has not been a 100% sure thing for us.  I like your idea of the squeegee. I use one on the sides of the slide before I bring them in after a rain storm.

I like that idea also. If it ever rains here in San Diego, I will squeegee the top of the slides off before bringing them in. Thanks for the tip Mike.

After we have been camped for awhile (> than a week) I clean the top of the slide with Wash Wax All before bringing it in.  The top of the slide accumulates a surprising amount of dust and dirt that could wear on the slide badder as it moves across it.  I know, it is probably overkill, but better safe than sorry when it comes to the slide bladder ($$$).  The trick is to get enough room between the front edge of the slide and the front of the awning so one can get an arm into the area.  I bring down the topper awning all the way and secure it.  Then I place some wooden spacers in the awning locks.  I wrap the spacers in a towel for a pressure fit so they remain in place.  Then I bring the awning up again such that the awning arms stop on the spacers.  This gives just enough room to reach all areas of the slide top for cleaning.  In case this is clear as mud, see the photos below.
