Replacement front hub covers

We lost a cover a couple of years ago and decided to replace both, due to pitted chrome. The covers now in place are not the best quality and as such, they are pitting, even with quarterly waxing. Research for a stainless steel replacement has been an eye opener. SS hub covers are available on the internet for 22.5"  steel wheels. Dimensionally they are the same as the covers I have now. When I changed the search to 22.5" aluminum wheels things became interesting. All of the covers designed for aluminum wheels have a minimun lip length 3/4" as opposed to 7/16" for steel wheels. I contacted FT parts to see what they had for replacements and was told they use Kaper II, P/N A-4-4N. Checking with the manufacturer it appears that this hub cover has a 7/16" lip and is made of SS. The cover I replaced was not a FT OEM cover and could have also fallen off at some time. Kaper II has another cover better suited for aluminum wheels.      (P/N A-4B)
Anyone who needs a cover should keep the lip length in mind when looking for a replacement.

Bob,
I would goggle "Alcola Hub Covers" I am sure you will find the same covers currently used on the Foretravels and others.  Take a look and enjoy all the options.

Dave,
In my opinion the Alcoa covers are over priced. The hub covers I will use are used extensively in the trucking industry, look good and very reasonably priced.
