What did I do wrong now?

Grey and black tank levels stopped working.
Assumed tank sensors bad.
Got two new sensors from MOT and installed. Went through the procedure per manual for recalibration.
Still no reading on grey and black tank levels, only fresh water.
Did I do something wrong or is my Javelina Audit 2U9 system on the blink?
Anybody ever have similar problem?
Thanks in advance.

The newer coaches have a reset button.  I just learned that today. Maybe Steve will chime in. He has reset his.

That's on the 2005 and newer I think.  The Javalina-based ones like Tom's and ours don't have a reset.

Tom - are the symptoms reading always full or always empty?  When you went through the calibration procedure, which I think is all empty, use the shorting switch, then all full, use the shorting switch, what did the black and grey read?  I would think they should both be red/full at that point (before you dump them).

There's a James T. seminar at the GV on Friday AM - if we get more details and can put together a question, I'd be happy to ask it for you.  Yes, technically it's on how to extend power or something like that, but there should be enough of an open mike session that other topics can be asked.

Am interested in the "extend power" by James T. Please tell us the how & why, always an interesting subject.
Many tnx.

The Javalina 767-500 on my 2005 "performs 134 operational tests and calibrations at powerup" per the manual.  Can't imagine that there are 134 things to check...  Anyhow, the calibration process is only required when a tank sensor (external on a 2005) is replaced.  Part of that recalibration process requires momentarily shorting pin #15 to ground.  So to make a long story short,  I think the reset button must be on a newer model. FWIW.

Exactly.  It's on a different type of system, the ones now used and which have externally-applied strips of sensors, much like SeeLevel (I wasn't sure what year FT switched over from Javalina).

The black and grey always read empty prior to and after calibration. The fresh water reads as it should.
Thanks

Tom.

Are you filling and emptying that black and grey tanks when doing the re-calibration?

Yes, I'm following the recalibration sequence as described in the accompanying manual.
I'm filling and emptying all three tanks. The only one to show any level is the fresh water tank.

Thanks for your help
