Boost switch operation

Could someone tell me an easy to verify that the boost switch and system are operating correctly?

I will stick my neck out and try an answer. If you test the start battery voltage (from lugs on it) and record the volts, then turn on the coach battery charger then go back to the start ones and recheck the volts shown you should get an increase from the first reading, if the Boost switch is on. I gather it all depends on state of charge of start batteries but would think there would be a momentary rise even if they are full. This is  of course as long as connections are good and Isolator is ok.
The experts can correct this statement if incorrect,or, a better way to test!!

On shore power turn the ignition to "on" (but don't start the engine) and note the start battery voltage displayed on your instrument panel. Hit the boost switch and check it again after a few hours. If the voltage has gone up then the boost switch is working.

I Assume that by shore power I would get the same results with the generator running.  Am I correct?
Also I assume that I would turn the switch on to check voltage than turn the switch off leaving the gen running for an Hour?  then go back and check the voltage again?

Yes...I usually run the genset, after measuring the VDC at the start batteries and the coach batteries, turn the BOOST switch "on" and remeasure VDC at the start batteries with the genset running.  W/O the genset running, the start battery voltage should read between 12.2 & 12.8 VDC (no engine running either).  With genset running and no engine running, the start batteries should read the same as the coach batteries or approx. 13.8 to 14.1 VDC.

Hope this helps...This is what I do each time I start the coach after being in storage.  I disconnect all batteries while in storage.
