HWH problems

I am having a problem with the travel mode. I first noticed it a year ago when we went through snow in the mountains. The travel light went out & the warning buzzer came on sporadically the buzzer sounded like it or the wiring were making poor contact. Got through the mountains & every thing was OK for the rest of our trip. Good all through the summer. We then took our coach out to Vancouver island three weeks ago, went through a lot of rain & again the leveling system alarmed. This went on for the last 8 days of our trip. We store the coach on the island for the winter. The problem got worse as time went on, to the point the alarm is on steadily. The travel leveling was not working when I parked the rig as the day before the passenger side front did not come up & the day I parked it the drivers side front would not come up. The back seems to be fine. Automatic leveling is working fine. When I parked it I let all of the air out of the bags & they all deflated to empty except the drivers side front bags which deflated but not all the way, even after I tried several times. I can hear the solenoids clicking & when the bags were full I could hear the air being released. I am sure that moisture is causing my problems but where do I start to look. I do think the system will work fine once the coach dries out completely. It is in heated storage. But I would like to fix it properly. What parts should I acquire before I tackle the repairs?

Any & all thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

This is a 1997 36' U320. I believe it is a model 600 HWH.

You may wish to call HWH and describe the issues. My experience indicates that they will put you in touch with a person who understands the system and can suggest appropriate actions.

Our symptom was that the travel light went out a few times while underway during a trip. HWH suggested some checks. After some user checks, I sent the keypad and control board to HWH. They fixed a loose connection in the control board and renewed the face of the keyboard. Cost was less than $100 and time frame was two weeks.

Your issue sounds more complicated. You will get advice from an expert if you call HWH.

Mcmojo, I had problems with my older GV and I contacted HWH both by phone and e-mail and they were very good on explaining what to look for, so yes I would call. There are no service centres in BC now (was one in Kelowna but now closed) and as I live in the Okanagan I had looked. The systems are good and once you get to looking at the schematics and talk to a tech you may be able to find the problem. Sounds like you may have a wiring issue with moisture as you say.

The pressure switch on the back side of the HWH 6-pack has a pair of connectors that when they get wet, the system thinks there is an air pressure problem.

Many have this problem and resolve it with different ways to protect contacts. We used brush on or spray electric 'tape' from Lowe's. Easy fix and it will never come back.
