Mr. Beam - You are unbelieveable.

In trying to prepare myself for the acquisition of our 2002 U320 I consistently end up on your web site.  Your comprehensive information and clear language is absolutely astounding.  I can not express my gratitude that you have undertaken the task of keeping all of the "stuff" together and sharing it.

WOW  :)

Ill second that. I have just bought a 89 Grand Villa and almost all my info comes from some page or link or thread that Mr Beam has put up,
Its also in a language that is very easy to understand and follow, Top stuff,

He has also pointed out that my Grand Villa was actually a custom build job as it has things on it that didnt come as standard on it, Which also had me wondering, The 300 HP cat motor was one, and the tanks seem to be bigger than standard,
I have also found the members on here are excellent for info as well,
None of them want to argue as some other forums do, Which can be a real put off, When you are trying to learn new things,
Cheers,
Brian,

I would have to agree with the above accolades for the site! As a neophyte myself poking around here for information there is a wealth of information and resources here that are extremely beneficial.
All of the contributors as well as Barry's endeavors have eliminated our search outside the Foretravel world of coaches. We are still in the which size, year and goodies decision making process, Foreforum is the ticket to ride that wave though to the final step.
Still wannabees enjoying the educational tour here!

I will sign on for "Mr Beam" AKA "Mr Foretravel"

I have met Barry, and asked and listened to how he came to amass all that information. Quite a story !

One quote I will always remember:
" IF foretravel ever produced a lemon, I got it "

To listen to Barry talk about how he got to where he is, is inspiring !

I shall never forget my morning "Coffee", through lunch, into afternoon with Barry.

I too am in awe of what B Beam has done with all the info he has amassed. I do not read books (which Ruth keeps trying to get me to) as I have enough info to digest from "Beamalarm". There is only one minor problem with the info, especially the "Modification Ideas" and that is you can go bankrupt trying to make all the changes one would like to, so that the thought of ever changing coach's is not entertained.
Thank you Barry and all for your expert input of info', and, the way it is accessed online thru' our F Forums.

And, in addition and very important, Barry & Darlene are just super nice folk.

You are too kind. The same can be said of you & Audrey. Meeting you at a rally many years ago and introducing you to "Mexican Train' was a highlight for us. Sometimes you meet the greatest people on the road. That is why we check the "Member Map" often when we travel to see who is in our path that we can drop in on. Never know how many lifetime friends you can make.

I can't agree with you more about the modification ideas. It has been a curse and a blessing. We have so many talented people here coming up with such great ideas it is like being in a candy store for RV'ers. Rather than having to reinvent the wheel, I thought these ideas should be saved in one place for future enthusiasts. I get many personnel emails from SOB's commenting on the great ideas and I get to direct them here to the forum to sign up. 8)

Think Harvey said it well - "Barry & Darlene are just super nice folk."  I have never met Barry, or his wife, but having conversed with Barry on the net, I too, think that they are super nice folk.  Would have been lost so many times without Barry's Foretravel Help Links, especially the search function.

But having said that, I realize that Barry Beam is one of several at the top of the list of those Foretravel Foreforum's Hall of Fame members.  There are others around here, like Barry, who's expertise I value so much.  Thank you all!

Speaking as a person who actually HAS spent some time with Barry and Darlene, I can tell you that Darlene is just a lovely, lovely person ... funny and sweet and a great cook.  Barry is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet ... kinda cute, too.  But he only has two speeds ... 95mph and Stop ... so don't hike with him if you like to stop and "smell the cacti".
