Ernie, I am not surprised that a lawyer has stuck his nose into this.  I am real Leary of these types of actions.  I would guess that the lawyer has no intention of really going to court, after they sign up enough complainants they will make a settlement offer and the folks who really had legitimate claims will never see a penny as the lawyer will get it all.  IF I had an issue with Norcold and felt that it was worth it I would sue them directly.  In MOST cases those that had fires collected from their comprehensive insurance carriers and the carrier then subrogated against Norcold.  If you have done that then you have no cause of action against Norcold.  NO, I am not a lawyer, I did work for Insurers for many years.

I had two Norcolds in my last RV and both went bad. 1st one almost caught fire. I now have a Dometic and it has quit on me twice. No more--- I'm installing a residential in it's place. On the lawsuit, I agree with Gary.
