Just introducing myself

Hi,

As my title indicates, I am new here. I am researching and trying to learn about Foretravel coaches in preparation for upgrading to a used U320 sometime in the near future. So I will probably be asking a lot of questions.

It's exactly as Raymond says! Lots to learn and this is the place..... As for Foretravel they speak for themselves. Best coaches ever made period. Mine is 23 years old and is twice the coach many brand new ones are. I came to the mother ship (the Factory) today to have a windshield installed. I showed up unannounced and they got me in and did awesome work! Total pros.
Great people here on the forum. Chances are anything you are going to run up against someone here has already been through it.
Welcome!

Welcome to the forum-

I too am a new member with a new to me Foretravel 2002 U320 36'.  You will be amazed with the information that you will find here.  Good folks too.

I would suggest you start by reading:
Foretravel Discussions > "Newbies list of resources to learn" Newbies list of resources to learn
then "50 things to learn before you buy your used Foretravel" 50 things to check before you buy your used foretravel
From there this website Foreforums Foretravel Wiki that is a comprehensive list of all things Foretravel including factory specifications Foretravel Specifications, Floor Plans, Photos & Brochures by Year for most years and models.

From there you just read and flip pages.

Good luck-

Welcome to the forum. Not only do we help each other many of us are friends and know each other.  We met thru this forum and then at FT or MOT.  when you find a coach you like, sing out. Someone may know tat Cach and the owner or something about it. Have fun searching for one. It is a blast.

Welcome aboard Royce, Even if you are a Bama Fan we will treat you like you are normal.  Wait til you meet Willis in FL , He is a rabid bama fan and also a FT owner . Guess that meets the definition of a fanatic.  Of course us GA residents are calm and collected except during THE Season.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Ken asked what led me to Foretravel. Well I guess a number of things. I had seen FT ads. Also noticed a few members on rv.net (Brett Wolfe, for one) had FTs and just wondered about them. I was looking for a brand of coach which was a little more upscale in terms of standard  features and quality. My current SOB (Tiffin) is a fairly good brand, but I just want something a little better. I've looked online at Newells, Prevosts, and Wanderlodges - way out of my budget even for used ones.

There seems to be preponderance of used FTs in Texas, so I'm concentrating my search there.

Another welcome, Royce. You will have to go some to top the number of questions I've asked here. Lots of good information available. Be sure to bookmark the sites mentioned above, as you will return to them frequently. If you are anywhere near Nacogdoches you need to get the factory tour.

Royce, another welcome and you are correct you will see the difference between you current coach and a Foretravel. The other brands you mentioned are also wonderful coaches but overly complicated and costly to maintain in my opinion.

Welcome!

We just met Andy here at Camp Foretravel and he will be a great new addition to the Forum. He is a great guy and an accomplished mechanic and has the best sounding 6V92 I ever heard. I think he did more than polish the ports. I don't believe I will get in a race with him.

Welcome Andy!!!

Welcome to the group, Royce.

We found our 1995 U320 here and we have been quite pleased with our purchase. We've had it for only about six weeks, and now it's winter in Ohio, complete with the required snow. Therefore, so far we've spent far more time looking at our Foretravel than we have using it. However, that gives us more time to learn all about it before we put it to good use later this year!

I'm sure you will learn a lot here, and the information will really assist you in your purchasing decision. The U320 is a great motorhome!
