AquaHot Heat exchanger Question

Concerning the heat exchanger in the water bay; is there a fan on it, and if so, when should it run?
Thanks, Mike

Mike,
The basement heat exchanger has a fan. That fan and the zone circulating pump are controlled by the thermostat, which is in the same general area as the exchanger. The bathroom works the same except the bathroom heat exchanger fan and pump are controlled by the bathroom thermostat. The bathroom and basement are on the same zone and use the same pump.

Yes, thanks for the reply.  I actually took the compartment apart, and while fooling with the fan it started up, so it is working.  I just don't quite understand the logic behind the thermostat with the temp settings beginning with 0 degrees and going to 50.  I am assuming that by setting the thermo on 50, it will attempt to maintain 50 degrees in the bay?

I've got ours set at 38 degrees. With the cost of diesel/electric I just want to avoid freezing and not provide a cozy place for critters.

If it is cold enough out that might not be high enough.  There is not a huge amount of insulation on our doors and I was told we would need about 50 degrees on the lower register and at least 60 up top to keep the coach from freezing in cold weather. I am not talking 30 degrees but low 20s or lower.

I've been in 20+ degrees without any issues. I also keep my potable water tank full on a daily basis, which helps with basement heating.
