Retarder accumlator oil leak

Oil coming from breather on air valve-solenoid. Has anyone had oil leaking from accumulator? What was the fix? Rebuild or replace

Chuck,

There have been a couple of people that have had to replace that valve lately. Here is a link to a good wright up from one of our members.  Replacing transmission retarder valve (split from What did you do to your coach)

You can search retarder valve for more info.

Sounds like a different story from the air leak Dick S had, to the OIL leak here now. Am all ears.

I had an oil leak last year that was repaired by the Allison dealer in Tucson. Was just a drip that was repaired with a rebuild kit. I don't remember the cost as paper work is in the coach. It was reasonable.

I removed air valve from retarder and had oil coming from nipple on accumulator talked to FOT and MOT they had not heard of oil leak. Houston Stewart & Stevenson said accumulator is no longer available. Only rebuild kits
