Parking brake release cable

I need to locate the parking brake release cable on my John Deere 1987 chassis. This is the 11 foot one,  John Deere part number RW23838.
I've spent a lot of time searching, but with little success.

I'd like to get rid of this auto parking system and change it over to manual, but have found information on the Work Horse chassis only.

The whole brake system is very trying, to say the least.

Didn't workhorse end up buying the chassis division from John Deere? If so, they could probably help you.  My last sob was a 1988 Winnebago built on a 1987 John Deere chassis. It came with a parts manual with the diagrams, part numbers and manufacturer names. You might be able to find an owner or a Winnebago dealer to help. Have you tried calling FT?

No, Oshkosh bought John Deere than Oshkosh sold to Freightliner.
I have the chassis manual and the parts catalog. I have not call FT. That may be a good idea.

My mistake, it's been a while, try calling freightliner.

By the way, the only serious issues I had with that chassis had to do with the parking brake system. They originally specified too low a pressure rated hose to the hydraulic actuator, causing the system to lose all its fluid. Each time this happened I was stuck until I could replace the hose and fluid.  I finally was told about the hose rating and corrected the problem.  Then a few months later, I again had a complete loss of fluid. This time the cause was the factory had cross-threaded a fitting on the actuator. Fortunately this was in 1988, I was still under warranty, and they paid for a new actuator fitting and parking brake drum and shoes.  After that, I had 20 years of no parking brake issues.
