wheel balancing; centramatics for a 6 bolt U225-U240 or beads

getting new steer tires, do they make wheel balancing; centramatics for a 6 bolt U225-U240 or  will some type of beads work as well? 9R 22.5 sumitomo tires is what I am looking for to match my rear tires    Any suggestions friends? Also if I go the bead route how much weight and what type if beads should I use? any experience?

I was in their office in Alvarado TX, for service work with my 1993 U225, and they did not have at that time 4 years ago a solution for the 6 bolt wheels at that time.

Just got a new set of tires on  a 90 gv ,they found several golf balls in each tire!!

The beads come in bags that are made for each size tire.
when you buy the beads give them the tire size.
I have the beads and no regrets, they also come with different valve cores to keep the beads from jamming the valve and red valve caps so that the next person to dismount the tire knows to turn the valve to the top so that when they let the air out they don't sandblast their hand with the beads.

I just got new tires with beads back in December.
Love'em!

I tried Centramatics and found no difference with
the imbalance problem we had on another coach.
Plus I didn't like the looks of the Centramatics showing through the wheel openings.

I can't speak about the beads but the Centramatics have worked great for me.  I installed them on 6 new Michelins with no other balancing and my ride is smoother than it ever was without them.  I would definitely use them again.  As someone else mentioned, the manufacturer should be able to tell you if they have a model that fits your application.  They were very helpful in answering my questions.

Well I contacted centramatic  and they are getting back to me about the 6 hole, drum brake fitment on my coach. It looks like I will be going with the ceramic beads. I found a tire recapper 10 miles away that will true aka shave the tire $56 r&r from coach and throw my beads in it. I looked at the process on a completed tire this morning at their shop, the tire will be a little rough (not totally smooth) after the process but the said it will smooth out with driving, and be truly round when they finish.

Recheck for out of round once mounted ON THE COACH with a run-out gauge.

They addressed tire and wheel.

But, they did not address wheel to hub or hub itself.

Best is to true tires mounted on the coach, but that takes a different machine.

Agreed... If I was able to find someone near Chicago with a machine that trues on the vehicle I would go there.
