Step Well Courtesy Light

I have only owned my '99 U320 for five and a half years now and thought I had had my nose or fingers in every nook and cranny of the coach.  However, today for the first time I noticed a small rectangular courtesy light in the step well.  Problem is I cannot figure how to get it to illuminate.  I checked and the bulb is good.  I thought it should be wired in conjunction with the porch light or the switch by the step well that has the little green pilot light on it.  Neither of these seemed to work.  I tried other switches in the area but none of them powered the light either.  Does anyone know how this light is supposed to work?

The center switch of the three switches by the entry door should turn it on as well as the night light under the kitchen sink and the night light under the bathroom sink.  Good luck.

Make sure a spade connector behind this middle switch has not come loose.

That is how those lights are controlled on my 1995 U320SE, as well. You might pull that front panel and check the connections.
