Aux comp. TA 4101 - Wiring schematic?

Does any one have the wiring diagram/schematic showing connections to batteries and through solenoid for the aux comp?  I have 2 connectors and one ground wire that are not connected to anything.  I have attached a couple of pics that show the wires.

The connectors ore hard to see in the 2nd pic.  Both appear to connect to a solenoid.

This is from Barry Beam's wonderful site.  It's the manual for evertything HWH, all 583 pages of it.  It might help.

In your first picture it appears someone has tampered with the solenoid on the bottom of the first filter bowl.  This is normally open and only closes when the compressor runs, once the compressor shuts off it re-opens.

Its done that way to:
a) provide a way to purge any small particles that collect when the pump is running, normally when the pump turns off you will hear a air whoosh as that side empties
b) More importantly, its used to depressurize the "service side" of the pump, so you can change your desiccant without fear of having that side pressurized or remembering to dump air.  You DO NOT want to open that desiccant filter if that solenoid has been disconnected an there is not some alternative way the things are being depressurized.

Those solenoids can be persnickety so sometimes folks have done some mods ... Can't tell if they have that capped off and now have a manual valve that you would open (to depressurize) before you try to change the desiccant.  Its important to figure that out.

Thanks Barry - That's what I was looking for.

Steve - Yes it has been tampered with.  I have drained water from that first water bowl a number of times by turning a screw valve and no air appears to come out with the water.    I presume if I open that valve I can change the desiccant?  It is pink as we speak.  How else would I depressurize the system or dump air so I can change the desiccant?

Would love to see another FT in the area and look at wiring.  Anyone out there around here?

If you have a way to open a valve on the first bowl in the picture you are fine.  If when you have drained it no air comes out it just means you have some leak down on that side of things.  Leaks on that side mostly affect pump-up time (assuming all the check valves are working) for the slide tank.

If that valve was working as designed, it would purge the water accumulation in that first bowl after each run.  Its normal for water to be there, well for condensation to form, as part of compressing the air.

Yes pink means change it, it should be blue when it is charged, and pink when it is exhausted.  There are some posts around on bagging your own desiccant to save some $, and you can also bake it to remove the moisture and return it to its blue color.

Thanks Steve - I thought I would try to bake it and see what happens.  Sounds somewhat painless.

Thanks John - That's the bugger.  I do have a valve at the end of the clear bowl.  I have used that to drain the water. 

It appears that one of the hanging wires I found should attach to the solenoid.  It does not appear to have a ground wire.  Weird?  I am going to leave it wired the way it is - since it is mostly working.  The schematics did help.  I have save them in my FT file on my comp. with a bunch of other FT stuff.  That file is growing daily.

Thanks again for everyones assistance.  My main concern was that the compressor was operating properly and it is keeping 93 psi on the regulator gauge nest to the ZipDee awning.

Whilst trying to figure out why all my battery's are flat , I noticed the desiccant  on the auxiliary compressor is pink !!
