U270 Wiper blade size

I am considering replacing entire wiper blade assembly because the pivot points seem pretty sloppy on the ones on our coach (the pantograph wet arm assemblies seem to be available on the TAC website for a bit over $50 apiece). In the meantime, I'm going to put on some new wiper blades. The ones currently on the coach are 24". Somewhere in a parts manual I read that they were outfitted with 26 inch blades. 26 inch blades seem more desirable than the 24 inch size. That is, unless the mechanism would get bogged down by the larger size. I would be interesting to know what other people have done on this matter. I did some searching but didn't find anything pertinent to my particular question. Thoughts or experience?

Mine was sloppy on my 99 and it was the nuts inside that were coming loose. I put some locktight on them and reinstalled.  I also had the knurled nut on the drivers side crack.  Fixed those things and it was tight and like new.

I just went out and measured mine.  The rubber on each of my 2002 U270 wiper blades is 25" long.  The wiper itself might be considered about 25-1/2" long as it is slightly longer than the rubber.  I don't have any trouble with mine, and this particular coach started out its life as the "Mechanic's Coach" on motorcades.  So I don't know if that means the mechanic always got the proper sizes...or if it means he took what he had or what was left.  LOL.

Thanks for taking a look Brad! I can't really see a downside of going with a 26 inch blade as long as the mechanism can support it. The wiper arms that they list of the wet pantograph type on TAC are a nominal 24 or 26 inches. I think it just depends on where you measure it... It sounds like the wiper arms on our coach are the same size as yours.

Mine are 27 1/2". They are refills that I bought at O'Reilly's. They were longer than the old ones, but worked. I put one in "right side up" and the other "up side down." They line up with each other vertically at rest position and do a decent job of wiping the windshield.
