Water pressure

Do others use a pressure regulator on the water hose to protect the coach water lines , if so what type , the one I am currently using seems to restrict the flow too much

We use a Valterra A01-1114VP High Flow Stainless Steel Water Regulator.  I'm very happy with it.  Definately a better shower than running off the pump.

I always use a pressure regulator (like most others Valterra) set at 40 psi, with no volume issues. Some CG water pressure can get very high especally if it is a municipal water system. I have seen pressures over 100psi, don't need that on the old 15 year old plumbing.

I installed a Watts residential regulator (from any good hardware store).  Totally adjustable and no flow problems.

We never need high volume hoses and it is more important to have a small footprint when coiled up, so we only use good white 1/2" 25' water hoses. We carry several so we can always reach water, even if pretty far away.

I have read that some garden hoses have dangerous chemicals in their construction and a are not fit for drinking water.

I installed this Watts, no issues, high quality, I set to 45 PSI. A while back I posted the installation of it here.
Good luck,

I guess I can add a drip or two here ...

We use drip irrigation on all of our gardens etc at home.  They like to have managed pressure so for campground connections I just use an inline 40psi pressure regulator from the drip irrigation supplier.  They are about $8.00 each

Pressure Regulators - Senninger Lawn & Garden Regulators (Hose Thread)

I also use a very fine mesh particulate filter on incoming campground water to protect internal parts in the coach.  These are about $20.  Same thing in our house for our well water.  I had to add hose fittings.

Heavy Duty Screen Filters - Amiad Tagline Filters

I also have an inline water meter that accurately measures how much water I add to the tanks.  We never seem to be able to add the advertised tank qty to an empty tank. And then there is the hot water in the Aqua Hot.  Everything empty to full up, fresh and hot, how much?  We can maybe put in 96 gallons or so.  About $18 at Amazon.

I use the Watts filter with stainless steel parts and the oil filled gauge. 30-45 psi seems adequate for our purposes. Most of the time we use water from the fresh tank under pressure from the 12vdc pump. We let the pump set the pressure. We also bought a good fresh water hose from RV Water Filter Store: Standard Filter Canisters for Whole RV. Rick sells good stuff. He also provides personal attention if you want it.
