Water on Floor

Twice now I have found a water puddle on the kitchen floor next to and just underneath the slide out (in the in position). Once was May of this year and again today. The one is May we had been at a FT rally for a day and the puddle showed up on the floor (slide out in the extended position. At first thought maybe condensation from the AC but there was no evidence of condensation on the unit above the area.

Today while traveling we stopped to check on our toad and noticed a water puddle under the slide out dinette table floor. When we stopped tonight and extended the slide there was a small trace of something like maybe wet insulation or something.

Does not appear to be coming through the grout in the tile floor.

Weather was clear in both instances.

Fresh water tank is 75% of capacity.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Is it dry under the refrigerator ?
Mine had a loose drain line connection that caused water to pool behind it.
Water can migrate when you drive the coach.
If it is a pluming leak I would expect to see it all the time.

Interesting, but water is where you find it, as it migrates to the low spot from who knows where.  One thing I've done to detect a leak in my water system is to allow the system to charge up from shore water and shut off the shore water valve.  Dont use any water and with the pump left on, see if the pump cycles on after some time.  After I got all of the internal leaks stopped, the pump would not cycle in a days time.  Then you have the other side which is the drain side and you can place a paper towel under all of the traps that you can get to and see if they develop a wet spot.  If it's coming from the inside, it may take a little trial and error to find it.  Good hunting and have a great day  ----  Fritz

Especially if the water is showing up and it hasn't been raining.

A possible source of a leak is the el-cheapo saddle valve used for the icemaker water line.  Under the sink, it tees into the output of the undercounter water filter.  The stem of these saddle valves loves to leak, especially once you turn it (so don't if you haven't ;)  )  You may also want to inspect the water line from under the sink to where it ties into the solenoid valve on the back of the fridge (outside of the coach).

Another thought - are you running the icemaker in the fridge?  Has the icemaker line been replaced in recent years?  If not, the plastic line is known to crumble.  Many of us with 2003's have had to replace it in the past 4 years.  If you are trying to make ice and the line has breaks in it, it's possible water could come from there (ours squirted out the side of the coach through the wall vent panel).

It's dry under the refrigerator.

Does not appear to be any leaks from the ice maker source or under the sink.

The water actually pools on the opposite side of floor from the kitchen. Our first thought was from the sink area but not traces of water across the floor.

The other weird thing is it's not consistent all the time.

Is it possible for the condensation from the ac units on the roof to have water drain off on the slide out and then the water migrate around the side of the slide out and come out as a puddle from the mid section of the slide out?

Had that happen to us in the middle of the kitchen floor two years ago.  Happened one and never re-happened,  Never did find anything that might have caused it.

AC water was getting into my coach - bladder not sealing on slide roof letting the water get past it and then run down to the floor. I could control it by having the coach lean more toward the driver side to keep the water from pooling by the bladder.

My problem was caused by a new (this summer) slide bladder not sealing well - MOT had to add a brace on the slide roof opening to correct a sag which had developed over time. The new HWH bladder is stiffer and less forgiving of irregularities. The early slides had only metal braces at the corners and later build numbers in my model year used a steel brace that ran the entire length of the slide. My coach originally had just the corner braces.

Your issue sounds more reasonable than the other opinions due to the fact that I have not been able to locate any leaks in the water system to the sink area or ice maker.

Try manually leveling the coach - my auto level always puts the front lower than the back and that's the direction the water would travel inside. I could change the water's direction by manually re-leveling but all that really accomplished was to move the wet spot from front to back. Tilting more to the driver's side stopped the leak at least until the slide was corrected. Also, the air pressure in the bladder was a little low but the main problem was the uncorrected slide roof sag. The old bladder was apparently softer and could conform better to the sag.

After traveling today through some light rain and then stopping for the night, water was again on the floor.

I was thinking that maybe the bladder is not sealing on the bottom of the slide. When we put the slide out for the night I looked from the outside on the underside of the slide and it was wet. I had wiped down the slide before traveling this morning after a heavy rain in Clayton, NM. Wiped everything except the top of the slide under the awning. I also tilted the coach to make sure water had a chance to runoff before wiping dry.

On our 03 u320 I found the amber front side marker light that indicates you turn signal is on for drivers along side you was not properly sealed and was letting in water in hard driving rains or when I was driving in rain. I took it off the coach and sealed the hole where the wire came through the side of the coach and the screw mounting holes and no more leak for 2 years now

Update - FYI

Had the motorcoach in for service during LDS to look at bladder around slide out (couch/dinette slide) for the water problem. The top squeegee was not in very good condition and appeared to be the item causing our water on floor issues. Had FOT replace it and look forward to this solving my water problem.
