hi guys
my pals coach is a 2000  u-320 with a 3 year old xantrex prosine 3.
it will not invert or charge.  we have pretty much used our collective
knowledge trying to find the problem.  any suggestions would be

I will be in Puerto Penasco at the end of the month but I'm sure it will be too late to put stuff on the bus from there to Guaymas.

Wayne, actually there may be help next door to you. Go next door to the residential subdivision (towards hwy) and you will see a guard on duty. Ask him to direct you to Marcel Malafont, he lives there on the far end of Canada St in new section. He has a big caseta on a corner and also a greenish Country Coach. Tell him I sent you (we should be there this time of year but they are building a home next to him and we do not like the noise and dust). He had/has one and replaced his a few months ago. He MAY be able to help and he has all the tools you can think of. Just ask anyone to show you his home as he used to be the accountant there.
Let me know what happens and say Hi to him and Georgette for me.

...given a choice I would always prefer to break down in mexico.
thanks again.

In 1987 my then-10 year old son and I were driving north in the Baja between Sta. Rosalia and Ensenada when the axle on the boat trailer carrying our West Wight Potter 15 broke. A dozen cars full of gringos went by with everyone looking out the window. The first truck with Mexicans stopped, jury-rigged the axle with chains, and led us to a welder (everyone in Mexico welds) who repaired the axle and sent us on our way 3 hours later.

That is what I allways say Wayne" If I am going to break down please let it be in Mexico" .They can fix anything and for next to no cost.
I have seen many a Motor home by the roadside with a couple of Mexicans working on it. I was with friends (they have a 5 er) going down to PV area and they broke 2 springs on trailer. We pulled into a Mechanico off Hwy and in 3 hrs they had picked up new springs and installed them and it cost him $125 us!! Oh by the way that included a wash and wax of his truck. They also gave him a spare spring in case he had another break. A few hours later I called him on CB that one side was low. Guess what another broke so again we pulled into a Diesel shop on Hwy 200 and they installed that one. This time it was $25 US as he had part.
Unbelievable. I love those guys. Many stories I can tell down there.
