Harvey,  you will like them.  They use C batteries but they last for a long time.  I haven't changed any yet.  Vey nice lights.

Yes, one LED per light. Very strong and adjustable.

My flashlight is brighter than your flashlight...

Costco has a 1500 lumen light on sale. I purchased one but when I went back to get the link for this post it said it was out of stock.  I suppose I got the last one.  Kind of negates the usefulness of this post!  But do I get the prize for most lumens?

These may be a bit pricey, but this is the real deal.  Can also be used to break glass as in car in pond type....

If you want to become a flashaholic like me, check out dx.com.i particularly like the high lumen zoom lens flashlights that use 18650 rechargable lithium batteries. For safety get the protected batteries.
