New tires are nice ($3,600!) - wonder if prior tires damaged in accident or just old?
Rust not a huge issue, EXCEPT careful bulkhead check is always prudent, on any coach. My coach has some rust, and has lived in FL every winter that I owned it for last 7 years, was TX before I got it. Surface rust happens…bulkheads can cost some $$$, but unless really bad, even then the bullhead repair cost is usually less than $2,000, usually well less.
Not many updates on the coach - TV's, headlights, Sat dish all old stuff.
Figure at least $10K to get the outside done at Xtreme (level one, misc fiberglass repairs and roof paint - more if you go overboard. Also add $3500 if you want headlight upgraded. Ugly outside will make it less valuable in marketplace, most people buy with their yes, heart and head in that order.
TV's probably $1500 - $2000 total, less if you can do it yourself, about the same for new Sat antennae and receiver installed.
Then, does everything work, what is battery status (is that an 8D wet cell as a starting battery? Would have expected three optima red tops)….what is age and condition of House batteries.
Oil analysis on engine pretty cheap for you to have done, one sample does not a trend make, but can give you some insight. Wonder when engine was last serviced, same deal on transmission.
More risk in this coach if no service records, no Motorcade number on front, and obviously damaged, went through auction and then fixed for sale by a dealer who doesn't specialize in Foretravels. Each of those thins a small red flag, not a deal killer, but more reasons to be cautious, and get someone to come look at coach that knows what they are looking at.
I would just be careful in your inspection, plus don't go over what you think is the actual market price, less all the stuff that needs done to make it what you would like, plus another $5,000 reserve for things that will pop up after you take delivery.
It has been said here many times, the bargain coach is seldom a bargain, but the premium coach almost always is.
