CO and Propane Detectors

I've got the original hard wired Atwood CO and Propane detectors. I see on Amazon I can get a CO for $65 (MTI Industries 65-541-WT 12-V Surface Mount Hard Wired Carbon Monoxide Alarm) and a propane for $53 (Atwood 36720 Hydro LPG Leak Detector). Sounds OK to me. What's everybody else doing for replacements? Thanks.

Here's what we did last September:  MTI Safe-T-Alert mail-in rebate

CO detectors belong in the bedroom, to prevent the forgot to wake up syndrome. AA battery operated units with digital display are recommended as they accumulate CO over time. In fact every bedroom in a stick home should have a CO detector. And redundancy of several CO detectors may be worthwhile. Very hard for me to use real inexpensive CO detectors. They do save lives and this is no place to skimp on quality. BTW smoke detectors should be the type that alarm on both ionization (products of combustion) and photoelectric (smoke).

Pay China $10 direct or add $50 on for the middle man that sells same product for $60.
