Throttle switch

Does anyone know what this switch is and what it is for? Found it like this today doing pre- trip inspection.
Thanks in advance, Irwin

I can't really see where this picture is taken from.  Maybe a little more info...or a bigger picture with a wider frame of reference would help?

Guessing here, but does that switch control the "off throttle" position to the retarder control somehow?

Have seen setups where at full throttle a switch would disable the A/C compressor on under powered vehicles, just a guess.

It is on the closed throttle position, and my coach is the one that has a PAC brake and retarder. I haven't been able to find a install print for the retarder on the coach. My documentation goes all the way back to 98 ,but it must have been installed prior to that . I did talk with James at FOT and he said it was not installed by FOT. So far I haven't found anything not working. I will try to find out where wires go .
Thanks for the replys,Irwin
