Anchor for chair?

Are you using anything to anchor the euro chair or recliner? I can locate the foot stool behind the copilot's chair and not worry about it too much. But I am concerned about the chair and don't really have a good idea how to prevent it from becoming a projectile in case of emergency.
Suggestions?

It has not really ever moved in over 300K miles. I have stood on the breaks in panic stops a couple times too.  Now the rest of the stuff in the coach moved but I guess if you hit a solid wall or something and come to a complete and sudden stop, it could move but then again, I will probably be dead from the impact too.

Mine never moves either, almost nothing does.  I would be more worried about the sink covers flying forward in a crash.  They have never moved yet either.

If you are worried about them flying forward then you have to put in some significant anchor bolts that go all the way through the floor with some pretty good sized backing plates on the underside of the floor.  Pretty much like your front seats are mounted. 

We did find seat belts under the couch last week after three years.  We had no idea they were there. Nobody ever rides there anyway.

Our chair has never moved either and it has been in the coach for the past seven years. Ben has made some sudden stops. The dog bowl that is usually in the bathroom has scooted to the kitchen, but the chair has stayed in place.

Dick and Rocky, hope you are both well.
On the chair issue, is there something behind it, solid-fixed that maybe you can use one of the adjustable tie downs to anchor it too that is also quick to remove? May save a permanent fix that you do not like the next day??

I have speculated on what might happen if we had to make a sudden and violent stop, or were in some kind of impact. I am thinking that the high back of the co-pilot seat will protect me from most flying matter and, in any case, I will have more to worry about than just a chair.  Our Villa Keri chair moves minimally and is very steady.

           We actually have had ours move twice. First time was when we were doing the test drive in Nac and Tyle Fore said try the brakes with the retarder on. Dee was in the recliner behind him and I guess I stood on them a bit too hard. Chair didn't slide but it tipped forward. Dee said "huh, it's like one of those Art Linkletter chairs that helps you out"

      Second time was an emergency stop when someone suddenly stopped dead in front of us. It slid to the back of the copilots chair that time. Under normal driving conditions it never moves though. I have thought about putting some sort of "leash" on it.

      Nice to know that these things have great braking power!

If someone is sitting in it, sure it will move. Do you have tile or carpet.  I have carpet and it has never moved.

            We have ceramic tile. We have added a couple of non-skid rubber mats and that seems to hold it pretty well.

Tile will make things move as will wood floors.  I know that the carpet has not allowed the chair to move in three coaches and a few panic stops.

My idea for anchoring the chair is to use a hook with a threaded rod extending downwards through the flooring to the area below. The chair we have has a base that is made from a circle of tubular steel. The hook would just go over that and then thread on washers and nuts to tighten it.

Have not gotten around to looking to see how much of this is actually feasible yet, though. :P

Thanks for the feedback. Ours sits on carpet also and has never moved. I'm just going to quit fretting about it, which is what Rockey told me to do anyway! :D
