Splendide/no water?

Interesting, before we left Nac, the washer /dryer was taking on water after a problem was fixed with clogged hose filters. ( the washer was filling ever so slowly until it completely filled and ran out into the grey tank)

And so it was fixed in the hall, run and set back into the wall. I have read what I could and have come to the conclusion that; there are taps back there that are turned off? the manifold is in the on position. The hoses are kinked, but no water is taken on at all?  I have the programs on the controls messed up somehow?

It is plugged in and the breaker is on. The machine only "runs" somewhere in the spin cycle...with no water. The door locks when on and in cycle.

I have no idea why it is not taking on water. Appreciate any info you may have. That is one heavy machine to slide out and check. Thanks again,  Tom  (Mary is reminding me now how I was Forewarned about these little problems) ;D

Yes, there are valves behind the W/D.  Search for an access panel.  Mine is under the dining J couch.  You should also be able to reach in to check for a kinked hose, but my bet is that a mechanic forgot to turn on your water valves.

Another possibility is that the wire to activate the electric solenoid valve has come lose. There are separate wires for hot and cold. When we got our coach, hot water would not flow to the tub of the Splendide. I found the connector had come off the spade lug. I snugged the connector with pliers and placed it back on the spade lug.

The connections are accessible if you lift the top of the machine. It will probably require removal from the cabinet.

Also check your Manoblock shutoff valves.

Thanks fore the quick answers. All checked out. The secret service access for the taps to the W/D are conveniently located at the bottom of the adjacent clothes cupboard, under the false floor, along with the 120 plug receptacle. The 185 pound machine may be wriggled back and forth and brought out to the WC floor area, where the top of the machine may be easily taken off. A thought may to have the rubber "feet" replaced with something with a little less grip however the rubber may dampen the rock and roll. A thin plastic sheet would be nice for ease of installation, slipped under the feet when removing.

No wires could be found faulty. Multi meter checked things out according to PDF training manual on splendide, however the timer or program function has proven erratic at best performance.

I'm beginning to think this machine is equipped with the "salesman" switch which shows the unit turns on, only on the spin cycle when all else fails. Calling a repair person tomorrow. Small potatoes to the 5 dollar levy for each tire I brought into this country. ;D

I have found the technical support at Westland Sales (Splendide authorized/distributor folks) to be great to deal with for questions regarding Splendide machines

Thank you Michelle. I e-mailed the Clackamas office western headquarters and a gentleman there diagnosed the problem like a surgeon with an x-ray driven syringe to the lower back. I did list everything it did and did not do, a worthwhile exercise.

The culprit was a burnt wire on the pressure switch. The heat had expanded the fitting where 2 red wires join on one plug in the plastic block which affixes to the pressure switch located just under the program timer.
