Need Help with Hydralic Pump Schematics

Need a little help here from anyone.  A friend is stuck in Moline, IL with high temps going over 200. His coach is a 2000 U320. Think it is related to the Hydralic pump. Does anyone know where I can find the schematics for the hydralic pump? Thanks for you help.

Sorry, I don't have a schematic but when my 2000 U320 overheated it was due to the failure of the fan controller. When I called Foretravel from the side of the road, he asked how fast the fans were turning. I said they were turning very slow so he had me unplug the electrical connector for the fan controller and then fans then went to high speed. He said it was OK to run like that but you might see a drop in fuel mileage. I waited 6 months and changed it out because of the extra fan noise all the time.

This was just my experience, your friend's problem may be different.

Thanks Bob, I think they did bypass something to make the fan run more but the temps still went over 210 so we are calling around now to try to find some help. Problems only happen on Saturdays it seems. I guess we will get to know the big town of Moline this weekend.

Is there a cummins mid state power or Great Plains.  There is one in Rock Island and one in Cedar Rapids. They are pretty good.

Thanks for your offer Tim, but our friends found a hydralic shop to fix them up on Monday morning. They were able to call the Cummins shop and Cummins refered them to the hydralic shop. A mechanic actually came out today, but needed his diagnostic tools. He told them his shop could fix them up. So hopefully they will be back on the road soon.

hello.. I have a 1993 Foretravel with a 350 detroit silver addition engine. and  desperately need  a set of schematics for my Hydraulic radiator fan assembly. It seems the fans are on imediately when I first start the engine and stay on,  and the engine stays at 120 degrees while driving and never reaches it's operating temp. of 180/90. I was told it was probably the temp sensor for the fans, but don't know what it looks like or where it's located. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Filster,

Welcome to the ForeForum.

Irrespective of fan issues, that is NOT the cause of your running over-cold.

Replace the engine thermostat.

The thermostat controls the amount of coolant that goes to the radiator.  No matter how much air is going through the radiator, the thermostat controls engine temperature by limiting the amount of coolant to the radiator.

Also wouldn't be a bad idea to use an IR thermometer on the engine to see if your dash gauge is correct when engine is warmed up.
