Please post photos of residential and marine refrigerator installations
If you have been following my posts, you know our refrigerator flamed out, and we are currently deciding whether to have the old Dometic repaired, or replace it with a non-flammable refrigerator. Since we don't want to lose the under refrigerator storage cabinets, we are trying to give all the options a look-see.
One problem is visualizing how the various refrigerators would look. Do we want a black, white, or stainless apartment model around 10 cubic feet, or the same with a wood overlay? Do we want a marine model which accepts a wood panel in the doors? Either of these options would require some cabinetry rework, as the old Dometic is a monster, 36" wide by 60" tall. But cabinetry rework is not all bad (only cost is bad), we like the idea of adding a pullout pantry. The final option is to let Sea Freeze make a custom marine refrigerator (probably DC only, no need for an always-on inverter) the same size as the domestic, no cabinetry costs, just a more expensive refrigerator.
