2001 U320 36' at FOT

Does anyone know anything about the 2001 36' U320 at FOT, stock number 5795C?  I am on the hunt and live in California so it isn't easy to take a look for myself.  If anyone is familiar with the history, condition or anything else about this coach that would help me, please let me know.

If it sounds good, I will plan to head to Texas to see for myself.

Thanks in advance for your input.

From the looks side of it, it sure reminds me of mine before about $50,000 worth of upgrades.
My 2001 is identical and been very trouble free, had 52,000 miles 6 yrs ago when bought it, now has 107,000 miles.
Given a good inspection, would not be worried, everything is fixable long term.
The "C" indicate3s it is a consignment unit.

It looks pretty much factory original.  Microwave looks to have been changed.  No rear mud flap that I could see.  TVs are original.  Ours had 41K miles when we bought it 3 yrs ago for about 5% less with tires about 1 yr old and new house batteries.

Check it out closely, maybe get someone local to have a look-see.  Like Dave, other than normal stuff ours has been very solid, very dependable and very much enjoyed.  36' is a good size.  Maybe bigger if you were going to fulltime, maybe not.  We haven't done as many upgrades as Dave but there is always something you can do.

Happy hunting,

Contact Michael as he lives in Nacogdooches  michaelharbordt@suddenlink.com.  he might be able help you.  I would look at the headlight conversion, TVs update, new tires if original and certainly house batteries if original.  Tks DAN

Consignment means owner sets price, but price not too out of line - to the previous list I would consider any other immediate or short term upgrades, TV's, potenially  satellite dish, headlights, and residential refrigerator.

Great coach, I have had 36 and 40 - either length will serve two people well, up to and including full time.

Lots of records a plus if they exist

Thanks everyone for the tips. The ad says it has new tires and living room tv.  It appears to have the mud flap, too.  More concerned about the maintenance history and overall condition so I think having service records would be important. The mileage doesn't scare me since it works out to about 6,000 miles per year.  Probably better than a coach that doesn't get driven enough.

I may prevail upon Michael for a look at it.  I will definitely have an inspection done before I make a purchase. I've already contacted Brett Wolfe and he will do the inspection when the right one comes along.

Absolutely no plans to go full time, but a 40' coach would also be considered.

JD, .....thanks Dan S......I would be glad to look for you, but time limited tomorrow, would be late afternoon.....let me know specific questions or if you want to talk generally about that model, I or others can.  We have a 40ft 2001.

I have incidentally already looked at that coach for another person.  Some folks were making comparison with slide and non slide.  This was very quick, not as thorough as would do for you if need help and you are not local.  Just FYI, I just do this to help Forum members and I do not do an "inspection" like Bret, you need him for that or any alternative person.

As for the quick look I made last week, it was to compare overall coaches to help decide if the non-slide the buyer wanted was comparable, a way to compare two coaches sort of side by side.

Send PM if you want more info.    I talked also to Tyle Fore at FOT about the coach
