Re: HWH synchronizing cylinder Reply #1 – July 12, 2014, 08:04:20 pm HWH was going to build me one last year...when Foretravel mistakenly said they thought I needed one. Are you sure you need one? Rooms can get out of synch and then just need resynching (a simple labor process), but seldom is a new synch cylinder needed...per my education from HWH. When someone does replace one, the re-synching process is needed as part of the install. Doing so could falsely lead one to believe that the cylinder had needed replacement, when in fact, it did not...the cylinders just needed re-synching. Been there, done that...but mine is a 2002.On edit: It was going to take HWH a week to manufacture one for me, so it isn't a fast process and they apparently don't keep them in stock. Quote Selected
Re: HWH synchronizing cylinder Reply #2 – July 13, 2014, 07:15:45 am It's leaking fluid - appears to be a break in the weld on the back of the cylinder. Alternative is to have it welded; thought it would be good to talk to HWH first. Anyone know of a contact there? Quote Selected
Re: HWH synchronizing cylinder Reply #3 – July 13, 2014, 03:32:33 pm When ours went out FOT had one in stock for some reason. It was pouring out fluid and the room tried to come out crooked. My experience with HWH has been wonderful. They are pretty covered up this time of year but I believe if you get through to them they will take care of you as quickly as they can. Quote Selected

Re: HWH synchronizing cylinder Reply #5 – July 14, 2014, 09:37:28 pm Thanks for the tip. Finally got through to them today and I now have a "number" (apparently in line). Need to wait for them to get back to me..... Quote Selected
Re: HWH synchronizing cylinder Reply #6 – July 15, 2014, 01:40:37 am Sorry. Just got off the road. Joe Portelli (HWH) was wonderful to me thru my process of slide testing and repair. I used the "Contact us" form on the HWH page and he responded. I think Scott Siebert used someone named Randy, with similar great results. Quote Selected
