Replacing Clearance/Marker lights

Preface
This post is not about LEDs. I may get to them some other time.
This post is about the flat amber marker lights at the top of the front cap.

I found replacement elements (the welded plastic housing and reflector are one piece) at Transportation Accessories Co  http://www.tacbusparts.com/index.asp

These lights fit into an approx. 1 inch dia. hole

Question
My question is: does anyone know if the back side (the part interior to the front cap) is held in place by some caulk adhesive (3m 4200, Permatex,etc..)  like some of the rear housings or just by the screws at either end of the fixture.

I realize that I can just take my screwdriver and find out but I'd like to know how big the tar baby is before I start.

Since I was there I looked for other 'Bird stuff and found the Marker lights.

I replaced the front clearance lights about a year ago with LED assemblies from NAPA.  Sorry - I did not keep the LED PN.  I used the PN on the old lamp and got the LED replacement from the web then called NAPA for price and availability.  I think I paid about $18.00 each.  2 screws, on on each side hold the marker light in place.  We had a little bit of sealant on the end of the bulb that went through through the front end cap.  I spliced the new wires on to the old using red crimp butt electrical connectors.  Once the new marker light was in place, fit perfectly, I fastened the two new screws in place and then put a bead of clear silicone between the new marker light and the recess in the end cap to keep water out.  The whole process took about 30 mins for all five.  I also put a glob of silicone sealant behind the new light assembly to cover the hole through the end cap.  Good luck.  It was an easy repair/upgrade.  :D

 Mine were 2 screws and see little reason for anything more. Mine are larger 21 LED's and are nice and bright and no larger than original. All lights outside are LED. I am considering putting a strip of LED's along the lower basement sq tube that is below door, or, 6 individuals ones on each side.
