Powertech 10KW Genny Blower inoperative

Yesterday, the generator on our 99 U320 shut down on apparent overheat about an hour after being run with one a/c on. Had run flawlessly for 20 or more hours during current trip. The overheat light not illuminated on control box but did overflow the coolant bottle. Discovered that the blower/fan for the remote radiator is not operating. So far have determined that there is 120v to the blower circuit breaker and that there is continuity thru the breaker. Thoughts for next steps include trying to get at the starting capacitor which is apparently mounted to the inboard side of the blower (haven't been able to get underneath yet to look for/at it yet) to see if there are bad connections. Another idea was to try spinning the fan by hand to see if it would continue to run after being "helped." Not to sure how to attempt this safely.

Trouble shooting suggestions welcome.
Thanks,

Bob

Verify that the 120VAC is making it all the way to the fan motor. The breaker for the fan motor on our 10K Kubota PT got weak and would open up sometimes. The generator would soon shut down. A new breaker fixed our problem. Your issue could be a failing breaker, bad capacitor, failed motor, or failed connections.
