Fuel filter brands

Which brand(s) of fuel filter is best? Which brand should one stay away from?

My recommendation is stay with the OEM brand filters, Fleetguard, Racor is my stock.
Surely there are many opinions of better, cheaper  so do what you like.
Proper Filters are good insurance.

I would agree with Dave. Although my go to brand is Wix. A cheap filter is just that..

Should have mentioned the following,
For the 2001 320 Foretravel ISM450 the filters I use are;
Fleetguard LF9070 Lube 
Fleetguard FS1000 Fuel (mounted on engine) 
Racor S3230P Fuel
Racor 300200 Clear Plastic Bowl w/ O Rings
Racor R12T For Aqua Hot
Racor R12T For Power Tech mounted between rear of genset and fuel tank.
Fleetguard AF1838 Air Filter

Having purchased a lot of filters for diesel equipment over the years there are good aftermaket brands but you cannot go wrong with OEM.  I use Fleetguard.
