Foretravel Grab Handle

Good Morning,
My acylic grab handle has a chip at the very top, just where it goes into the top bracket. The handle is kind of loose and moves when you grab it.
Has anyone ever tried to repair the handle or is it better to buy a new one? I am worried that it may fail while someone is climbing into the coach.

Thx, OH

I bought a new, clear acrylic handle (without any logo) from FOT four years ago when we were there for about $18 to replace the badly cracked one on our coach.

I have replaced the acrylic handle on two different Newmar models with the stainless steel tube. Looks great, but you do have to alter the ends. Only because the end brackets won't usually accept the full length of the stock part. I used a file and a hacksaw. The tubes were ordered from Newmar but would have fit in our brackets. Looked like the exact same assist handle and brackets.

I would have thought they would be very expensive, considering its for an RV. I will call about it tomorrow.
