2014 honda crv vs 2015 crv

FWIW,
I have been considering a CRV for some time but have not pulled the trigger.  I like most everything about it and have looked for some time for a good used one.  I haven't been too lucky on the used and it seems that the not too old ones are dang near as much as a new one (due to excellent resale values).  The CRV has been considered by many to be an excellent 4 wheel down toad (like the jeep).  Honda has come up with a minor modification of the CRV in the present version.  This includes a new CV transmission (vs the 5 speed as on the 2014 CRV).  As I understand it, the 2015 CV is now not towable on all 4 (without a dolly).  I may just go pull the trigger on a 2014 while there are still plenty to choose from in stock.  I just thought this may be of interest to others.  Best of travels to all.

Definitely not towable 4-down - the owner's manual specifically states it is not towable behind a motorhome.

So we decided to update our toad...

I would go with the 2014.  In the equipment world there is a saying "Never buy something with the serial #1"!  Let that new transmission prove itself on someone else's dime.

We have the 2014 Honda CRV, which is automatic. Like it alot. One thing we really like ... when towing, no mileage is added to the odometer. Only takes 3 minutes to prepare for towing all 4 down.

Good Luck ....
