Air Spitter on air reservoir

HI everyone
Is there an automatic spitter on the air reservoir
or do I drain the reservoir manually,
on my U225,1992.
Where is the reservoir ?
ALSO:
Why are there two ( white / red )
indicators on my air pressure gauge?
working things out...slow but sure,
thanks to all...
you advice and knowledge ,
has been great.

Elaine,

Did you get a set of Foretravel Owners manuals with your coach?  If you did, one of them should have a diagram of the air system in your coach.  If you did not get the Owner's book set, then you may be able to get one from the factory.  They will make your task of learning about your coach MUCH easier.

Other members who have the U225 will respond shortly.  It is better if they give you specific answers, because these systems vary from year to year, and model to model.

In general, most older (early 90's) Foretravel coaches have 3 air tanks:  the "wet" tank, the "front" tank, and the "rear" tank.  They are located in different places, depending on model and year of coach.  The 2 needles on your dash air gauge show the pressure in the "front" tank and the "rear" tank.  The red needle is usually the "front" tank and the white needle the "rear" tank.  You do not have a dash gauge for the "wet" tank, unless one was added by a prior owner.

Most older coaches have manual air tank drain valves - one for each tank.  Locating the valves can be tricky, until someone shows you, then easy.  Like I said, other members will chime in with specific info on your coach model.

Look under the front bumper for valves. Most also have on under the front driver's side rear wheel.

BTW, if anything but clean, dry air comes out, THE DRYER HAS FAILED and needs to be replaced/overhauled.

My 93 U225, only had the two front tanks, one for the rear brakes and one for the front brakes.  But no third in the rear.  There were drain valves centered behind the front air dam for the two tanks.
