Back flow preventer

I am a new RV'er having just purchased this month a 2005 U270 from Motorhomes of Texas.  I am pleased that there is a forum for Foretravel owners. As I climb the learning curve which seems pretty steep at this point, I have a lot of questions. My first question is about the need for a back flow preventer on the hose that connects to the black water flush connection on the coach or does the coach have one  built in?

Welcome to the forum Frank and congratulations on the new to you coach!

I'd be very surprised if it didn't have a back-flow valve if the black water flush was put in by Foretravel. If it was put in by a previous owner who knows?? Hopefully someone else who has a U270 of your vintage can give you a better answer.

My 05 has a backflow valve for both the black and grey flush connections.
