New TireTech On Tire Pressure System

I recently purchased the TireTech On Tire Pressure System from Amazon. It came with 10 wheel sensors with replaceable batteries for $359. As others have said it looks and acts like a couple of other systems only with a different label.

It was much easier and intuitive to install than the Pressure Pro. I backed the toad up 100 feet behind the coach and the sensors still registered so the signals are plenty strong even without a repeater.

Since it was an obscure brand and vendor, I did have some trepidation about warranty. One of the sending units leaked air. I sent an email to them via Amazon this afternoon and they have already shipped a replacement unit no charge with no fuss. That's exemplary customer service.

Although the system is new I think I can recommend it for the price. Just replacing the 10 Pressure Pro sensors would have cost more than the entire new TireTech On System.

Sounds like a great value and good customer service. One thing though, there is usually a delay before the monitor reports a lost sensor... On ours, we don't get the alarm sounding until the toad is missing for maybe 5 minutes or so. OTH, if the pressure changes rapidly, the sensor sends the alarm immediately. When things are normal, the sensor updates the display every two minutes. Of course, you can temporarily "disconnect" the toad when you leave in it (or just turn off the monitor). I am sure that the intent is to conserve battery life and minimize nuisance reporting of temporary interference or blockage of the signal. Our is a TST system has a user changeable battery that is supposed to last a year under use. The older version is supposed to have 5 year battery but has to be sent in for replacement. So far so good... It is all a grand experiment, no? ;)

I bought one for our U225 last night. The price is certainly reasonable and we are trying to get set for a longer trip than usual down to AZ next month. Supposed to get here sometime after Thanksgiving.

Since I have a Crossfire system I'll only need 8 sensors (4 on the Jeep) which will give me two spares.

Also our new $62 rear camera system arrived but has not been installed yet. I am going to try setting it up wireless and leave the Audit system on the original monitor unless it turns out to be an easy switch to move the Audit over to the new one. Same system as Pierce got. :)

I tried to install the Tire Tech TPMS from Amazon yesterday and could not get a reading from two sensors. I thought perhaps that the monitor was not fully charged so put it on charge and went home.

Today I tried again but still unable to get any sort of response from 4 different sensors. Left with two installed on front left and rear (I have a Crossfire system on the rear so only need one sensor) and nada from the monitor

In fact I can't get the monitor to even shut off. The manual doesn't seem to address much, just saying that pressure should indicate when energized.

Called the seller and whoever answered eventually told me he'd have someone call me tomorrow morning.

Kent... any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

It's 11:20 (both here and where the tire tech guys are) and no phone call yet. We are supposed to leave on Thursday morning, drive to Seattle for Christmas dinner with relatives and then head south for a 3-week tour. Looks like no TPMS.

I have 2 of those systems now, and have never succeeded in getting 10 sensors to work. Finally settled on trying to keep 4 working on the towed. Just my experience, yours may differ.

Okay... about noon today I called them and got hold a young lady who told me to do exactly what I had done yesterday and the day before; except that this time it worked.

Somehow they know when someone who knows how they work is present.

At any rate, got the RV and the Jeep set up. Not sure how to set the pressures right now. The tires should warm up as we start moving and that should tell me something.
