But pulsing can be caused by uneven fuel flow caused by old fuel lines leaking air from cracks. You can run a separate fuel supply to the heater bypassing all the fuel lines from the coach. If it runs smoothly, you could be a candidate for new fuel lines. Choose lines good for todays diesel fuel. Suppliers should be able to help you with the choice if you need to make the change.
